What should you have a home inspection done for?

Special K asked:

I understand that it is important to check for foundation issues and if there was flooding. But what other issues should be a “MUST” when getting a home inspection done? For instance, is a RADON check extremely important? If so, is there a product you can install to improve the levels? Thanks!

Usually they check for any pre existing damage (water leaking in, walls or ceilings developing cracks is a sign they look for too) and pest problems. If asked, or on a more detailed home inspection, they check sewer lines as well to make sure tree roots have not grown into them or broken them.
